Voice is dead . . .

Ever hear that one? While we now have a plethora of communications options available to you, voice will always continue to be on the list.  It’s a vital and natural part of the way that we communicate and the human experience and while efforts have been made to recreate that experience with technology (automated attendants ARE getting better) there are just certain things that can’t be communicated through text alone.

While I love the addition of other technology to communicate with, both socially and for business, sometimes I can’t help feel like I’m suffering from communication overload.  You know those days, when you’re bombarded simultaneously with phone calls on your VOIP desk phone, mobile phone, text message, an IM, email, LinkedIn message and Chatter in your CRM, sometimes all by the same person committed to getting your attention while you’re on another call (you know the type – everybody has one of these impatient or brilliant souls in their office or as a customer).

Despite my little rant, these communications technologies and applications, referred to as Unified Communications (UC), can lead to vast improvements in worker mobility and productivity, and business processes.  With the proliferation of technology use and the expectation of the customer ever changing, adopting these new technologies can mean life or death for your business.  A defined and evolving communications strategy and implementation is crucial to keep up with the speed of business.  Organizations that embrace and master these new communication models are discovering they have significant advantages over competitors that don’t.

Don’t get overwhelmed, Teltek is here to help! Please give us a call to discuss your  needs and how we can help with a an overall communications strategy for your business.
